The Aloe Laxo tablet was designed for relieving constipation.  These tablets normally produce a bowel movement in 6 to 12 hours.  Over use of this product can produce a lazy and dependent colon.   The recommended dose is:

• Adults:  Begin with two tablets the first day.  If the tablet does not work within 6 to 12 hours, 3 to 4 tablets should be taken with a one day interval.  Then 5 to 6 tablets can be taken with a one day interval.  However one should not keep on trying longer than one week. 
  
• Children over 12:  One half to one teaspoon as a single dose the first day.  Start with a low dose and increase gradually until a laxative effect has taken place.  No more than three tablets a day.  Do not use longer than a week unless prescribed by a physician.
